Heat Pumps
A heat pump works by extracting heat from the air outside and transferring it into the home using an energy-efficient refrigeration process. The system provides heating and hot water while using significantly less electricity than traditional electric heating systems, making it a highly efficient low-carbon solution for residential properties.

Installation
A typical installation includes an outdoor heat pump unit, upgraded pipework, circulation pumps, smart heating controls, and a hot water cylinder. In radiator-based systems, existing radiators are often replaced or upgraded with larger, more efficient models designed to operate at the lower temperatures produced by a heat pump. The system is then connected to the home's central heating network to provide consistent and efficient heating throughout the property.
Underfloor Heating
Heat pumps can also be installed with underfloor heating, which works particularly well due to the lower operating temperatures and even heat distribution. However, underfloor heating is generally a larger installation project requiring new pipework beneath the floors, making it more labour intensive and higher in cost. It remains an excellent option for homeowners looking for maximum comfort and efficiency.
